This is a longer video of a desensitization session with Walter. He can be very reactive when he sees other dogs. The focus of this session was giving Walter the opportunity to make good decisions on his own. I wanted to see how he would do after almost a week of working on leash skills and engagement. There is minimal direction from me during the session and I only step in when it looks like he might need help to be successful. I take the opportunities to reinforce Walter when he gives me organic engagement. This is similar to how you can set up a desensitization session at a perk, outside of a dog park, in a parking lot, or anywhere you are able to practice.
